Food inflation rises, including beef
An analysis from financial comparison platform Dollarwise says Saskatchewan has seen the fourth-highest food inflation in the country.
Prices are up 3.5 per cent over the past year in the province, topped only by New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario.
Dollarwise analyzed data from StatsCan’s Consumer Price Index from May of 2025, with Canada’s average at 3.4 per cent.
One of the largest jumps was in the price of beef.
