Fire crews respond to van blaze in Nipawin

The Nipawin Fire Department was called to a vehicle fire early Wednesday morning.

Crews were called to a fire behind Walleye Park and found a van fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was quickly extinguished, and crews were on the scene for just over an hour.

That was the 197th call for the fire department in 2025, closing in on Nipawin’s all-time high of 208 in 2015, with two months still remaining in the year.
