Melfort blood donor clinic boosts supply

Nov 2, 2017 | 3:10 AM

Melfort residents proved it’s in them to give, by participating in a recent blood donor clinic.

Every three months, the Canadian Blood Services (CBS) brings a team of professionals to smaller centres like Melfort and sets up clinics. This Wednesday a clinic was set up at the Kerry Vickar Centre.

“We were looking to collect 90 units and we actually collected 97 so we are very happy, pleased, and grateful to the people of Melfort and region for coming and donating,” CBS spokesperson Deb Steele-Kretschmer said.

“We very much appreciate and count on people in the communities like Melfort to contribute at their mobile clinics,” she added.
