Dec 4, 2017 | 1:22 PM

A Nipawin man has admitted his role in the death of another resident of the town.

Danny Brian Crate, 33, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 57-year-old Charles Francis Letendre. Letendre was found dead inside a First Ave. home Jan. 4. RCMP said at the time the two men knew each other.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for today in Nipawin, but Crate admitted to the lesser offence of manslaughter.

He will be sentenced on Jan. 15, 2018.
