Dec 12, 2017 | 2:20 PM

A Melfort provincial court judge ruled Tuesday that Robert Sauter, 46, would not be released from custody.

Sauter is facing upwards of 30 charges stemming from several incidents involving drugs and firearms.

On April 22, 2017, Sauter was a passenger in a vehicle stopped by the Tisdale RCMP which turned up marijuana and eight grams of methamphetamine. Sauter was charged along with other occupants in the vehicle.

In early May, the Melfort RCMP conducted a search of a home which landed weapons charges against Sauter. Those charges have since been pled to.
