Visits restricted at Tisdale long-term care home

All visits at Newmarket Place have been restricted until further notice, due to a respiratory illness outbreak.
Five residents at the long-term care facility have shown symptoms associated with the respiratory illness. Those symptoms include congestion and coughing. An outbreak is declared when a minimum of three residents, patients, clients or staff members display symptoms of a respiratory illness within a twenty-four hour period.
Visits to Newmarket Place are restricted until further notice, with the exception of those visiting residents who are extremely ill. Individuals were advised to check with the facility if they have any questions or concerns.
