The Saskatchewan Roughriders have re-signed Eddie Steele to a contract for the 2018 season.

The 29-year-old national defensive lineman had 26 tackles and one sack in starting 18 games for the Roughriders last season.

Steele joined Saskatchewan in 2017 and won a Grey Cup in 2015 as a member of the Edmonton Eskimos alongside Riders head coach and general manager Chris Jones.

The six-foot-two, 280-pound Winnipeg native has played 108 career regular season games in seven CFL seasons with the Roughriders, Eskimos and Hamilton Tiger-Cats.
