RCMP seeking three suspects after Denare Beach assault

Mar 19, 2018 | 1:21 PM

RCMP are hunting for a man and two youths who are charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement following an incident at a Denare Beach residence.

Officers from the Creighton RCMP detachment were called to the residence for a reported assault at 12:10 p.m. Saturday. Inside, they located an adult male who was taken to hospital with serious injuries. A black, 2013 Ford F150 supercab truck (Saskatchewan plate 868 JPH) and two firearms were reported missing from the residence.

Police said they do not believe the incident was random, and three individuals have now been charged.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of Trenton Laliberty, a 21-year-old resident of Denare Beach. He is charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement, theft, breach of probation, and additional weapons charges. Laliberty was described as 6’1”, 200lbs, with brown hair and eyes. He has the words “LIVE” and “LIFE” tattooed on his knucles, and a cross tattooed on his right wrist.

Police are also seeking two male youths, ages 14 and 15, who are also charged with aggravated assault and forcible confinement. Their names and descriptions were not released.

All three are considered dangerous and could be armed, police said. The public was advised not to approach the three suspects or the vehicle, and to report any sightings to police immediately.

The charges against the suspects have not been tested before the courts.
