SJHL to decide future of playoffs

Apr 11, 2018 | 10:00 AM

The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League has a conference call planned today to determine how they will proceed with the remainder of this year’s playoffs. The SJHL playoffs were postponed after the tragic accident involving the Humboldt Broncos Friday.

The teams, represented by 12 appointed governors, will determine the direction the SJHL will take with regards to the remained of the 2017-18 postseason.

At the time of the accident, the Nipawin Hawks led the Broncos 3-1 in their semifinal series, with the winner scheduled to meet the Estevan in the league final.

The Broncos were en route to Nipawin for Game 5 last Friday when the accident occurred.
