Bruins win over Hawks, Canalta Cup final tied at 2-2

Apr 19, 2018 | 8:09 AM

The Canalta Cup Final has once again been tied up.

The Estevan Bruins scored four unanswered goals Wednesday night, en route to a 5-3 win over the Nipawin Hawks.

The Hawks attempted to rally midway through the second period. Logan Casavant scored at the 11:59 mark, followed another goal by Michael Grant four minutes later.

With less than five minutes to play in the third period, Hawks forward Josh McDougall found the back of the net and put the Hawks within one. There would, however, be no repeat of game three. The Bruins extended their lead to two again with an empty-net goal at the 18:51 mark.
