Woman hospitalized after car hits hole in washed-out road

A woman was taken to hospital Monday morning after crashing when her vehicle hit a large hole on a washed-out section of road.

The accident happened around 7 a.m. roughly 13 km east of Silver Park.

Melfort Fire and Rescue attended to the scene. Fire Chief Paul See said the vehicle hit the large hole and then ended up in a nearby slough, which was less than a foot deep.

Tisdale RCMP told northeastNOW the female driver of the car was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries. There was very little damage to the vehicle itself.
