Pair of Prince Albert products from Mustangs commit to Augustana

A pair of Prince Albert products from the Melfort Mustangs committed to the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Adam Hergott and Reed Gunville will join former Mustang Travis Mayan on the Vikings.

“We the Melfort Mustangs are extremely happy for Reed and Adam on their commitments to the University of Alberta-Augustana in Camrose,” Mustangs head coach Trevor Blevins said in a statement. “We wish them all the best as they further their educational and hockey careers.”

Hergott played 143 games with the Mustangs, and played as a defenceman on the 2015-16 SJHL championship year with the ‘Stangs. He scored 13 goals and 53 points in his three-year stint.

Gunville joined the Mustangs in November of 2016, after winning the RBC Cup national championship with the West Kelowna Warriors. Gunville scored 33 goals and 55 assists in 92 regular season games with the Mustangs.
