Teen charged with uttering threats against St. Brieux grad

Melfort RCMP have laid charges in connection to threats made against students at the St. Brieux graduation ceremony June 8.

RCMP said Brennan Hunt, 18, was arrested and charged with uttering threats.

Hunt made his first court appearance June 12, and was remanded back into custody. A bail hearing was scheduled for Hunt’s next appearance at Melfort Provincial Court June 19.

A spokesperson for Melfort RCMP told northeastNOW the threats were made through social media, and nobody was injured. The RCMP would not give specifics on what was said as the incident remains under investigation.
