Tisdale RCMP make 4 arrests connected to break and enters

Tisdale RCMP members have laid criminal charges against three youths and one man after executing a search warrant linking them to recent break and enters in the community.

On July 2, police searched the apartment and arrested the three male youth and 23-year-old Brendin Edworthy. Police say the youths are facing charges stemming from recent break and enters at the Wicks Gas Station, the Falkon Theatre and the Tisdale Riverside Golf Club.

Edworthy was charged with possession of property obtained by crime, break and enter into the gas station and the golf club and numerous thefts from vehicles. He appeared in Tisdale Provincial Court yesterday and remains in custody. He is set to appear again on July 10 and is presumed innocent at this stage.

One youth entered guilty pleas and received an open custody sentence where the remaining two youth remain on bail. They are set to appear in court on Aug. 7. Due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the youth cannot be identified.
