Car show fuels community spirit

Jul 16, 2018 | 2:00 PM

Over a dozen classic cars and trucks were on display Saturday as part of the fourth annual Crooked River community fair and car show.

The event draws car enthusiasts from across the region. Garry Nagy, from Tisdale, has owned his 1970 Dodge Charger RT for roughly 10 years.

“It was sitting in an old barn just down the road at Eldersley and the guy who owned it decided to he wanted to sell it and it was all in primer and all torn apart and we put it back together,” he said

Nagy said he paid $10,000 when he bought the car, but now figures it’s worth about seven times that. He said he tries to take it out as often as he can.
