thletes showed off their technique in the Judo skills competition Wednesday morning in the Saskatchewan Winter Games, with Regina picking up seven medals in the event.

Hitting above their weight: girls showcase weightlifting skills

Weightlifting might seem like a male-dominated sport, but it was the girls who were celebrating on Family Day as they lifted far heavier weights than the boys.

Thousands of athletes and fans filled the stands of the Civic Centre in North Battleford for the opening ceremonies of the 2018 Saskatchewan Winter Games Sunday night.

Strong words were had by the family of Colten Boushie during a peaceful demonstration held by the #justiceforcolten movement at the North Battleford courthouse Saturday afternoon.

Law professor clarifies manslaughter and reasonable protection of property

The Gerald Stanley trial has unearthed some confusion from the public as to what extent property owners can go to protect their property, or what consitutes manslaughter. According to one law professor, it can vary greatly on the circumstance.

Carilion’s liquidation could provide opportunities according to the president of Graham Group, the other company in charge of construction and maintenance of the Saskatchewan Hospital in North Battleford.
