Woman travels to 961 Saskatchewan communities

What began as a personal project to celebrate Saskatchewan’s anniversary quickly culminated into something much bigger for Ruth Bitner of Dalmeny – a project that would take her 12 years and thousands of kilometres on the province's backroads and highways to complete.

First snowfall for parts of Sask. as south still waits for winter

The first brush with winter came for many parts of Saskatchewan overnight Wednesday.

While Environment Canada had called for snowfall throughout most of the province, areas to the south were mainly spared.

Police searching for escaped inmate

RCMP are on the lookout after an inmate escaped from a funeral at Little Red River First Nation this afternoon.

Frederick Frank Frenchman, born 1993, escaped from custody while on escort from the Saskatoon Correctional Centre around 12:30 p.m.

FSIN chief reacts to North Battleford police shooting

The head of the organization representing 74 Saskatchewan First Nations is expressing serious concerns following the shooting death of a 22-year-old man.

Brydon Whitstone, of the Onion Lake Cree Nation, died after being shot by RCMP Saturday in North Batteford.
