MUCC Grad 2018 about cherishing the past and looking forward
The 50th graduation ceremony for Melfort & Unit Comprehensive Collegiate saw 89 students celebrate a 13-year accomplishment.
The event, which took place in the school’s gymnasium, was one of reflection on the past and focus on the future.
Carter Fettes represented Grad 2018 as the valedictorian and mentioned some of the highlights for members of his graduating class. He referenced the sugar highs in kindergarten, the period where his classmates adjusted to deodorant in high school, the freedoms with driving in Grade 10, and eventually their graduation day.
At the end of his speech, Fettes told his peers to dream big, aim high, live life to the fullest, and don’t ask themselves “what if” less as he wished them the best going forward.
