Melfort welcoming in a new doctor

Nearly two months after Dr. Alexander Watts’ resignation left Melfort short one doctor, a new physician has arrived.
The Saskatchewan Healthy Authority announced Dr. Chelsea Wilgenbusch will work with the Family Physicians Group in Melfort starting July 31. Wilgenbusch will provide anesthetic care as part of her full-service practice and temporarily cover patients for Dr. Danielle Desjardins during her maternity leave in January of 2019.
After receiving her medical degree from the University of Saskatchewan, Wilgenbusch completed family medicine post-graduate training in Saskatoon then her enhanced skills further by training in anesthesia at the U of S in June of this year.
Wilgenbusch comes along with her husband Sandy and three dogs.
