Scott Brison bids farewell to House of Commons, announces resignation date
OTTAWA — Former Liberal cabinet minister Scott Brison says he will step down as an MP this weekend.
Brison says he’ll cease to be the representative for the Nova Scotia riding of Kings-Hants — which he’s represented for 22 years as both a Progressive Conservative and a Liberal — as of Feb. 10.
In a farewell speech in the House of Commons, Brison says he has enjoyed his time in federal politics.
