Edmonton quarterback Reilly expected to raise bar in CFL free agency
Mike Reilly has again risen the bar among CFL quarterbacks.
Shortly after CFL free agency begins at noon ET on Tuesday, a league source said the Lions will announce they’ve signed Reilly, the most coveted person on the open market. Reilly, who was the league’s highest-paid player at over $500,000 last year, will earn in the neighbourhood of $700,000 annually over the course of his multi-year deal with B.C.
The sourced added the Lions also signed veteran receiver Duron Carter, a former 1,000-yard receiver coming off the worst season of his CFL career in 2018 (18 catches, 230 yards, two TDS) split between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Toronto Argonauts.
