Pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle on James Smith First Nation

A pedestrian was treated for injuries after being struck by a vehicle on the James Smith First Nation.

Just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Melfort Fire and Rescue responded to a collision involving entrapment.

Bystanders were able to free the injured person from underneath the vehicle before emergency crews arrived on scene.

The individual was transported from the scene by paramedics. No other details are known on the extent of injuries.
