SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Dennis Oland is expected to testify in his own defence today at his trial for the second-degree murder of his father.

The 51-year-old businessman will address the prosecution case, which claims he bludgeoned his wealthy father to death in a rage over money problems.

He is also expected to discuss discrepancies in his interview with police on July 7, 2011, the day Richard Oland’s body was found lying in a pool of blood on the floor of his office in Saint John, N.B.
