Case for woman charged in Nipawin assaults adjourned for show cause hearing
A 28-year-old woman accused of three assaults in Nipawin had her case adjourned for a show cause hearing.
Carline Bear appeared in Nipawin Provincial Court on Wednesday, May 1 to face her charges which include robbery with a firearm, aggravated assault, theft of a motor vehicle, and break and enter. Bear was arrested by RCMP officers early on April 13, 2019 when they responded to three assaults within the Town of Nipawin.
Loree Richardson, a defence lawyer for Legal Aid Saskatchewan, asked Judge Inez Cardinal for the case to be adjourned so the defence could receive a bail verification report, to which Cardinal agreed.
