CK750 in Melfort to broadcast Saskatchewan Roughriders games

May 6, 2019 | 6:00 AM

Saskatchewan Roughrider fans will have a new place to listen to all the action.

CK750 in Melfort will broadcast live all of the regular season and playoff games for the 2019 campaign.

Many Rider Nation fans across this region of the province were previously unable to tune in to the Green and White, but thanks to CK750’s wide reach things will be different. The games can also be heard online at CK750.com. That means, listeners of 750AM can easily take the Riders broadcast to the lake with them or out in the field.

Also new this year is the voice behind the microphone. TSN’s Derek Taylor takes over from Rod Pedersen who held the position for 20 seasons.

Taylor said he brings an enthusiasm to his work, which the audience will notice.

“I think the first thing that’ll come across to folks is, I am just very excited to be there, I am very excited when I get around sports,” he said.

Station Manager in Melfort Linda Rheaume said this will give listeners and the many fans in the region a bit more ease at finding their up-to-date Rider information.

“The Riders are Saskatchewan’s sports team, and we’re so excited to be able to bring the sounds of every play to our wide reach of dedicated listeners,” she said.

The Saskatchewan Roughrider’s first game of the season is May 31, 2019 against Calgary.

Stay tuned …and Go Riders Go!
