Crews investigating after camper explosion and half-ton fire

Crews are investigating after a fire on a half-ton truck and a camper explosion earlier this week.

Nipawin Fire responded to the call shortly after noon on Sept. 4 in the R.M. of Nipawin for reports of a camper that exploded. While en-route to the explosion, another call was received, this time for a report of a half-ton truck that was on fire on a road approximately three miles from the explosion.

One crew extinguished the fire on the half-ton, while another group attended to the camper explosion.

The investigation revealed that the explosion did not cause a fire in the camper but did cause extensive damage.
