Wakaw woman wins $1 million VLT jackpot at Wakaw Inn

A woman from Wakaw has won almost $1 million after winning the Vault Breaker jackpot at the Wakaw in on Sep. 6.

Patti Parenteau won $977,218.80 on the VLT.

“I always had a feeling I would win this game,” Parenteau said in a release. “I have been telling my friend that I was going to win since the start.”

Parenteau said she jumped up and down when she won and fell to her knees with excitement. She said she wants to put some of the money toward retirement, but maybe also take a trip.

Vault Breaker is a progressive game that stretches across Saskatchewan. There are three mystery jackpots separated by tiers. One is province-wide, another is regional, and the third is local.
