Cow moose shot and left near Lake Charron

Oct 31, 2019 | 12:49 PM

The Turn in Poachers (TIP) line wants your help in finding out who shot and killed a cow moose in the area.

Melfort conservation officers received a TIP call Oct. 21 about the moose that was shot on the north end of Lake Charron, about 13 kilometres east of Naicam.

It’s believed the moose was killed sometime between Oct. 18 and 20, and there was a draw antlerless moose season open at the time.

Two early 2000s Ford extended cab long-box trucks were seen in the area at the time.

One truck was red and the other was blue-grey, and the occupants may be able to provide more information on the incident.

Anyone with information on either the killing of the moose, or the trucks seen in the area at the time, can contact the TIP line at 1-800-667-7561, on SaskTel cellular #5555, or on-line at www.saskatchewan.ca/TIP.

You name will be kept confidential, and you could qualify for a reward of up to $2,000.
