Broadcasters from across Saskatchewan, including the full team from the family of the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group, helped raise a substantial sum of money for the new state-of-the-art children’s facility in Saskatoon.

According to a media release from the hospital’s foundation, donors from across the province helped raise $750,109 in just two short days at the first ever province-wide Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Radiothon presented by CIBC Wood Gundy.

The event Wednesday and Thursday was broadcasted live from the main lobby of Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital by 16 different radio stations.

The foundation explained donations from this year’s event will support the babies, kids, moms-to-be and families across Saskatchewan who need specialized care as close to home as possible.

“Thank you to each person who picked up the phone or went online to donate to this year’s provincial Radiothon. We are forever grateful for your incredible generosity,” Brynn Boback-Lane, President and CEO of the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation said.

“This hospital is making such a difference in the lives of Saskatchewan children and families, and your support will ensure that it continues to be a world-class centre,” she said.

The Foundation thanked presenting sponsor CIBC Wood Gundy, and the many volunteers, donors, and families across Saskatchewan, along with sponsors Nutrien, CP Rail, Save on Foods, Daytona Homes, Affinity Credit Union, SIGA, Saskmilk, Viterra, Enbridge, Kal Tire, SaskTel, GMR Electric Motors, Geransky Bros. Construction and our broadcasting media partners.
