Candle Lake death investigation ongoing
More than three months after a man was found dead at his apartment in Candle Lake, there are still many more questions than answers.
Toller Klassen, 43, was arrested hours after the body of Tom “Buck” Borson was found on Sept. 23. RCMP have not said if Klassen’s arrest was in any way connected to the death. While the autopsy was conducted months ago, the cause of Borson’s death has not been released as the information is still part of the ongoing investigation.
According to court records, Klassen faces over a dozen charges including assault causing bodily harm, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, break and enter, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
The list of charges also shows Klassen has a criminal record, given he has also had a handful of court breaches. Klassen, who is currently in custody, is scheduled to make his next appearance at Saskatoon Provincial Court on Friday.
