Jan 7, 2020 | 10:16 AM

There may be snow on the ground but now is the time to plan your summer camping trip.

As cornerstones of Canada’s tourism industry, Parks Canada places are committed to providing visitors with high quality and meaningful experiences across the country.

Reservations for camping in Prince Albert National Park and Grasslands National Park open on January 10, 2020 at 8 AM Central Standard Time. Reservations are strongly recommended, especially in the peak summer season and on long weekends.

In Prince Albert National Park, visitors can make reservations for Beaver Glen Campground or Red Deer Campground. These campgrounds operate from May 15 to October 11, 2020.

Grasslands National Park campsites included in the reservation service are Frenchman Valley Campground, Tipi Camping at Two Trees Day Use Area, West Block backcountry camping, and Rock Creek Campground. Campsites can be reserved for dates from May 15 to September 7; camping from September 8 to October 12 is by self-registration.

Come explore all that these parks have to offer and sleep under the stars after a day full of hiking and wildlife viewing. Reserve your 2020 campsites starting January 10 on line at www.reservation.parkscanada.gc.ca or by calling 1-877-737-3783.

To make the most of their Parks Canada experience, visitors are also encouraged to visit the Parks Canada website, sign up for our e-newsletter, download Parks Canada’s mobile app, and follow us on social media for more information about Parks Canada’s destinations.
