Calgary Police arrest suspect believed to be responsible for Carrot River man’s homicide

Calgary Police Service arrested a suspect in connection with the death of a Carrot River man.

An autopsy completed on Friday, Feb. 7 confirmed 47-year-old Sheldon Wolf’s death was a homicide.

Evidence connected to Wolf’s disappearance was discovered in Elliston Park in East Calgary. A subsequent search of the park occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 4.

Wolf’s body was discovered on Feb. 4 in a rural area north of Airdrie, Alta. He was last seen at approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 2, leaving the Sandman Hotel located at 888 Seventh Avenue S.W., and later reported missing in the late afternoon of Monday, Feb. 3.
