Saskatchewan Polytechnic offers classes online or through alternate delivery to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission

Classes cancelled for remainder of the week but campuses remain open March 16, 2020

In partnership with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Advanced Education, Saskatchewan Polytechnic is cancelling all classes and programming for the remainder of this week.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic programs will be offered online or through alternate delivery options where possible to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission effective March 23.

“We recognize that these are unusual and challenging times. Thank you to our students, faculty and staff for your patience, cooperation and the care you’ve demonstrated for yourselves and others on our campus communities,” says Dr. Larry Rosia, CEO and president at Sask Polytech. “We all can help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 if we each do our part and work together. The health, safety and security of our students and employees is of the utmost importance.”

Saskatchewan Polytechnic campuses are not closing.

Limited services may be available at each campus.

The fitness centres will remain closed until further notice.

All non-essential gatherings and events will continue to be cancelled until further notice.

Events and activities not directly connected to academic programs are postponed.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic supports work from home/telecommute arrangements where work can be performed from home (or at an alternate location) where possible.

Travel restrictions remain in place.

Saskatchewan Polytechnic sponsored travel to all areas outside of Saskatchewan is subject to dean or AVP approval.

Updated class schedule:

 March 17-20: in-person classes are suspended.

 March 20: more information will be provided to students and employees regarding online or alternative delivery where possible.

 March 23: online courses or alternative delivery programming for students will begin, where possible.
