Residents intending on attending a drive-in Easter Sunday service in Nipawin will need to adjust their plans.
The drive-in, hosted by Nipawin Apostolic Church, was set to take place on Sunday, April 12 at 10:30 a.m. at Centennial Arena’s parking lot, which traffic guides to ensure vehicles are six metres apart.
Pastor Jordan Gadsby from the church notified northeastNOW on Saturday, April 11 that the proposed.
“Unfortunately, Public Health has received complaints about this event now and decided that it is classified as a mass gathering and should not happen,” Gadsby said. “We will follow the order from the Health Authority, cancel the parking lot service, and live stream on Facebook, Youtube, and [our website].”
