Virtual Canada Day

May 20, 2020 | 9:36 AM

Prince Albert’s Canada Day Celebration goes Virtual on July 1st, 2020!

We hope that you and your families are staying healthy and safe during this unique time.

Unfortunately, like other summer festivals and large public gatherings in the province, annual outdoor Prince Albert Canada Day celebrations will be cancelled.

The COVID-19 State of Emergency and restrictions on large public gathering is certainly especially important in controlling the spread of this pandemic, and the safety of our guests, volunteers, artists, and staf fis paramount.

To respect health and safety measures in our community, The Prince Albert Multicultural Council (PAMC) together with the City of Prince Albert,is pleased to announce a “Virtual Canada Day Celebration”this year on July 1st, 2020.

The event will be live streamed via Prince Albert Multicultural Council Facebook page(@pamcsk)from 12:00noon to 9:30pm.

The virtual/online Canada Day event will kick off at noon and offer a mix of performances and activities, including an official opening ceremony and singing of O Canada, family-friendly concerts, multicultural performances, a Reconciliation & Learning Ceremony, online activities, try-it demos and various other live guests.

The PAMC and the City of Prince Albert strongly encourage the PA community and its surrounding towns and residents to support our virtual Canada Day celebration.

We understand that this is certainly not the same as an outdoor event in one of our beautiful municipal parks, but still allows celebrating and interacting together safely in our own respective homes.

PAMC is excited and looking forward to bring you this first-time ever wonderful virtual celebration!

We are all in this together!

Stronger together!
