Phasing In Face to Face Sessions

Limited Face to Face Sessions Will Begin in June

May 22, 2020 | 9:28 AM

Catholic Family Services Prince Albert is committed to the mental health well-being of our community.

In March, due to COVID-19 we shifted our method of service delivery to phone and video sessions.

However, beginning June 15th, limited in-agency, face-to-face sessions will be made available again. This will occur in a phased approach, increasing in capacity when deemed appropriate by provincial health authorities.

The safety of our clients and staff is of the utmost importance.

· Our door is not open to the public – you will be let in for your session by staff. Please arrive no more than 10 minutes early for your appointment, and when possible, call upon arrival.

· Our waiting room has been reduced to 3 seats and appointments may be staggered to reduce overlap. Children or partners are no longer able to wait in the building while you are in session.

· Health screening of clients will occur prior to and at appointment time. This includes temperature and symptom check. Staff will also be screened daily. At this time, we are encouraging clients to wear masks, and if needed, we will provide one for you.

· A plexiglass divider will be installed at reception, and there is increased cleaning on all high touch areas.

*** Please note, those clients wishing to remain on phone or video counselling are able to do so!

You can make appointments by calling our office at 306-922-3202. Reception is available 9am-12pm & 1pm-5pm, Monday to Friday.

Clients at YWCA Central, Our House and Homeward Bound facilities have scheduled access to walk-in counselling services via phone. Please speak to staff at those locations for further detail.

Group programming will resume once a date is declared for Phase 4 of the Saskatchewan Government’s Re-Open Plan. This includes Strengthening Families, Bridges & all Life Improvement programs.

Strengthening Families Program staff are available through email (strengtheningfamilies.cfspa@sasktel.net), cell 306-981-6882, Facebook (SF PA), or office phone 306-922-3202. They continue to take applications for future programs!

Bridges remains closed, but is expected to return mid-summer.

Life Improvement Programs are postponed until fall (Parenting from the Heart, Calming the Storm for Adults, Calming the Storm for Teens, Good Grief, Riding the Wave, Taming the Tiger and Stepping Up). Registration for those programs begins in August.

Please note that our office is closed to the public at this time.
