Ecosystem Restoration in Prince Albert National Park
Fire is a natural, essential part of the ecosystems found in Prince Albert National Park.
Parks Canada is releasing images of renewed forest and the return of wildlife to areas in the south west corner of the park following the Rabbit Creek fire in 2018.
Photos capture white-tailed deer, elk, beavers, wolves, black bears, moose, raccoons, sandhill cranes and other animals moving through and using the post-fire environment.
Fire is an essential element in the creation of habitat for numerous wildlife species.
