‘I’d hate to be in that position’: Trojans disappointed but understanding of hockey pause
Junior hockey clubs weren’t the only programs affected by the Government of Saskatchewan’s new COVID-19 related provincial health restrictions.
Effective Nov. 27, all programs 18 and under will be done hockey for 2020, including the Tisdale Trojans in the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League (SMAAAHL).
Trojans General Manager Cole Simpson said they’ll respect the decision and everything the provincial government and the Saskatchewan Health Authority considered.
“There’s some disappointment that the guys aren’t going to be able to continue at the capacity we think they should,” Simpson told northeastNOW. “I’d hate to be in that position where I was one of those decision makers having to pass this down throughout the province.”
