Mustangs announce fourth commitment out of Alberta

The Melfort Mustangs have announced their fourth commitment of the week as 2003-born forward Thomas Moore will join the Mustangs for the 2021/2022 season.

Moore, the Slave Lake, Alta. product spent the beginning of the 2020/2021 season with the Sherwood Park Kings U18 AAA program and scored one goal and added an assist in two games before the COVID-19 pause.

“Thomas is a great all around player that plays the game with a high motor,” Mustangs head coach and general manager Trevor Blevins said in a release. “His high compete level and dedication will be an instant fit in our lineup.”

In 2019/2020, Moore was limited to just two regular season games with the Kings in U18 AAA, but he did come back to score two goals in three playoff games for the club.

Dating back to 2018/2019, Moore played for the Sherwood Park Squires U16 AAA club and tallied 14 points in 15 games.
