No injuries in pair of Melfort Fire calls

Melfort Fire Department responded to a pair of calls over the last few days.
On Friday, Feb. 5 at shortly before 9 a.m., crews were called to a car fire on a grid road 10 miles north and six miles west of Melfort. The vehicle was fully engulfed when crews arrived but they were able to make sure it didn’t spread.
Then on Saturday, Feb. 6 at shortly before 5 a.m., crews were called to a garage fire in the R.M. of Star City. The two-storey garage was fully engulfed and crews were able to make sure the fire didn’t spread to other buildings.
