Mustangs add Calgary born forward for 2021-22 season

The Melfort Mustangs have added another player for the 2021-22 season.

Max Henderson, a 2003-born forward, has committed to the club for next season.

Henderson, a Calgary product, began the season with the Calgary Flames U18 AAA program where he played in five games, tallying one assist and four penalty minutes before the COVID-19 pause.

“Max is the prototypical all-around player. He brings size, strength, speed, skill, and compete to our lineup.” Mustangs Head Coach and GM Trevor Blevins said. “He is expected to step in and be a difference-maker right away.”

In 2019-20, Henderson played for the Northwest Calgary Athletic Association Bruins U18 AA program. In 18 games, he scored three goals and added 10 assists for 13 points.
