The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has announced they will open a new COVID-19 vaccine walk-in clinic in Humboldt starting Thursday.

As per current walk-in and drive-thru clinic protocols, its for those aged 55 and older.

It is located at the Jubilee Hall Convention Centre at 619 17 St. at door number eight of the Humboldt Uniplex.

The listed dates so far are April 8, 10 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and April 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

All walk-in clinics are on a first-come, first-served basis and no appointment is necessary.

Moderna vaccine delay

The SHA has also reported a further delay of the next delivery of Moderna vaccines. The delay is from the manufacturer and is out of the SHA’s control. The shipment contains 19,300 Moderna vaccines. Some of the appointments booked in rural clinics will be impacted but a further announcement will be made soon.

As of right now no action is required by patients and the SHA will contact those directly to reschedule next week.
