Three Lakes Fire Department reminding residents of fire restriction in place

The Three Lakes Fire Department is reminding everyone of the fire restriction that is in effect in the RM of Three Lakes; which includes the communities of St. Benedict, Middle Lake, and Pilger.
The restriction has been in place since April 25th, and the department is avoiding a ban to allow farmers to do work.
There are some rules including no fires being left unattended, having a 100-ft fire break, and a piece of equipment to supress a fire should it go past the burn area.
Campfires are also permitted, but not advised, and you’re asked to have a large area soaked with water or has been tilled, as well as having a suitable means of fire supression on hand.
