Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce hosting in-person networking night

The Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce (MTACC) is getting set to hold an in-person networking night next month.

It’s set for June 3 at the Memorial Garden on Main Street in Melfort between 6:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and will be a come and go affair. MTACC executive director Cam Lee said it’s a great way for people to meet business owners in town.

“Just a chance for people to mingle a little bit,” he said. “And to discuss the state of affairs as far as their business and other businesses go in the community.”

Lee added that anyone can attend the networking night, even if you aren’t a member of the MTACC quite yet.

“Anyone can come by and just say hello,” Lee said. “If you want to use that opportunity to come talk to me and become a member of the Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce, by all means.”

He said it’s a great opportunity for businesses to chat about things such as the COVID-19 restrictions loosening, and the upcoming summer in Melfort. Lee said they had planned for the in-person event with the thought in mind that the Government of Saskatchewan’s re-opening roadmap would continue as such and allow for such an event.

Lee said they would likely move to zoom if the weather is really bad, or restrictions do not allow for an in-person event.
