
Storm in Northern Sask. causes canoes to capsize, Saskatoon man dies
A canoe trip in Northern Saskatchewan has come to a tragic end.
One man lost his life while five others were taken hospital after their canoes capsized in Amisk Lake.
According to Creighton RCMP, a report came in just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday, of three canoes that had capsized on the south side of the lake and six men were in the water.
A large storm had moved through the area at around 4:30 p.m. Large waves caused the three canoes to capsize.
