Jul 17, 2021 | 9:00 AM

Food truck wars is coming back to northeast Saskatchewan.

The food truck event’s next stop is at the Legends Sports Bar in Nipawin from July 23-25.

There are six food trucks that are expected to be at the event, but more may be added.

“We’re all excited about the start of the season,” said Dale Belair, co-owner of foodtruckwars.ca. “Nipawin is going to be one of our busier events. I think people are going to really like it. We are looking at roughly seven to 10 retail vendors. It’s going to be a good time.”

The event will also be at the Wadena Fair Grounds Aug. 20-22 and at the Melfort Exhibition Grounds Aug. 27-29.

“People will get to sample food and get to have fun,” Belair said. “Food trucks are still trending. People have really supported us in the province of Saskatchewan.”

Belair said they don’t have many details confirmed regarding the Wadena and Melfort events.

Food truck wars is looking for vendors for all three locations, and vendor application forms can be found on their website.

Belair said they will soon schedule more events.

“We still have to announce September dates,” Belair said. “We are still negotiating.”
