PPC names Braden Robertson as candidate for Yorkton-Melville constituency

The People’s Party of Canada has named Braden Roberston as their candidate for the Yorkton Melville riding in the upcoming federal election.

Robertson, who is a professional driver in the Yorkton area, said running in the election is something he felt he had to do.

“We needed a candidate for the PPC and I want to make sure that there is a good quality country left for my children to grow up in,” Robertson told northeastNOW.

The main platforms for the PPC include taking back freedoms, freedom of speech, religion, mobility, medical choice, and medical rates.

“Our freedoms are being taken away left, right, and centre so we need to get our freedoms back as soon as possible, and then we can start fixing our country,” Robertson said.

Robertson believes building pipelines coast to coast, removing the carbon tax, allowing for the abortion debate, and ending big government spending, and fixing equalization are all things that need to be done.

As a driver, Robertson visits many different communities in the riding and talks with many constituents.

“Almost 100 percent of the time people are saying that their freedoms are being taken away and they are concerned about vaccine passports and vaccine mandates,” Robertson said.

He feels the PPC is the only party that is speaking out about freedoms being taken away.

“We have shown with our actions that we want to counter this big government takeover, socialist agenda that is being pushed down our throats,” Robertson said. “In my opinion, the Conservative party has been turning it’s back on Saskatchewan in hopes of appeasing the east and a more Liberal platform.”

Canadians head to the polls on Sept. 20.
