Mustangs receive player development fee in trade for Pahtayken

The Melfort Mustangs have traded away 2003-born defenceman, Lare Pahtayken, to the Swan Valley Stampeders of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, in exchange for a player development fee.

Pahtayken, who is listed at 6’2″ and weighs 210-pounds, played one game for the Mustangs this season.

His one game played this year came in Melfort’s five-to-two, home-opener win against the Flin Flon Bombers, in which Pahtayken didn’t register any stats.

The Melfort Mustangs thank Pahtayken for his time as a Mustang and wish him the best in Swan Valley with the Stampeders.

The 2-1 Mustangs visit the undefeated 3-0 Nipawin Hawks, Friday at the Centennial Arena, for their first of ten matchups between the Hawks this regular season.
