A fatal collision outside of Wadena takes the life of a teen

A single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a 15-year-old and resulted in serious injuries for a 16-year-old.

At approximately 7:20 p.m. Oct. 23, Wadena RCMP were dispatched to a single-vehicle accident on Rural Road 617, approximately eight kilometres south of Invermay.

A 15-year-old girl and a 16-year-old girl were inside the vehicle.

It was discovered the 15-year-old had died at the scene. Her family has been notified.

The 16-year-old driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital. There are currently no updates on the condition of the driver.

Investigation continues by the Wadena RCMP and a Saskatchewan RCMP Traffic Reconstructionist.
