Prizes up for grabs by shopping local in Melfort

Melfort Trade Alliance Chamber of Commerce (MTACC) is back with their Us To You X Two campaign to kick off the holiday shopping season.

Starting Nov 22 through Dec 20 people who find themselves shopping at any of the fourteen participating businesses have a chance to win 14 local gift cards.

Cam Lee, MTACC’s executive director, said that shoppers will get entries into the draw once they have completed their purchase.

“Shoppers will have the opportunity to get passports at the participating businesses and a sticker for each purchase they make.”

Those who shop at four different participating locations will be given one entry into the draw, shopping at eight of the businesses will equal a total of five entries and shopping at all 14 will result in 14 entries.

One winner will be drawn to receive a basket of local gift cards. The basket will include 14 $25 dollar gift cards to keep and 14 $25 dollar gift cards to share with their loved ones.

With the holidays around the corner, businesses are encouraging shoppers to consider buying local.

“I think it’s more important than ever. This year, instead of shopping online, take a look at what our local businesses have to offer,” Lee added. “Whether it is downtown at the mall, out west by sweet deals liquidation or Stonegate, there is shopping everywhere. “
